There are many reasons why the outdoors is great. In the past, people lived as one with nature, and benefited from it through the food they ate and the way they lived. Now, our lives are so busy that even when we can see the wonders of nature, we don't stop and appreciate it. Many no longer take the time to look at the stars or wildlife that surrounds us. This is a sad thing because nature influences our lives in so many ways.
One of the great things about the outdoors is that you can experience so many different effects. The warmth of the sun on your face, the cool breeze blowing in your hair, and the sounds of birds and animals can change your mood and your attitude for the better, if only for a short time. It doesn't take a lot to enjoy the outdoors. Going to your local park or walking down a forest path can be enough to take your breath away. If you slow down and take time to calm yourself inwardly, you will be able to hear sounds that you wouldn't ever be able to hear in most work environments.
One of the benefits of the outdoors is exercise. Walking is a great way to enjoy the outdoors, and it gets you out of the house and off the couch. If you have a family, then it is a great way to spend quality time with them. If you have a book on birds or plants, taking that with you will give you an excellent opportunity to learn more about the wonders of nature.
