Types of Fishing Tackle

Need a way to catch specific types of fish? One can do this by going out and buying a simple fishing lure. Fishing lures are used to attract fish and catch them. Surface lures are exposed on the surface of the water and are great because the fish explode out of the water to catch them. If one is fishing in water with weeds, these are good to use because they will not get tangled in them. Spoons are metal lures that make a wobbling motion that can attract the fish.

Spinner lures have rotating blades and motion that attract fish by giving off the appearance of fish scales. Another type is jerk baits, which can be jerked in the water and mimic the motion of an injured fish. Plug lures, also named crank baits, have a fish body shape and make a sideways motion. Fake flies are used to look like fish prey and can be used with a fly rod. Plastic and rubber looking lizards and worms that attract fish are called bass worms.

A jig is weighted with a sharp tip that is covered with plastic worms to grab the fish's attention. It is a good idea to use fishing lures that look like real bait and move like real bait because the fish will become more attracted to those. Fishing lures can come in many different styles, colors, types, and sizes. Bright fishing lures with crazy colors can attract fish, but there are also neutral colors that work just as well. The type of fishing lure that is used will depend on what type of fish you are trying to catch.
